| Wendell Wood |
| Wendell Wood is a regional wildlife biologist and graduate from Humboldt State University. He did his thesis on the now extirpated muskrat population of Lake Earl coastal lagoon. His botanical and mycological knowledge of Tolowa Dunes State Park and of Lake Earl Wildlife Area is extensive. Since 1981 Wendell has worked as Wildland's Advocate and Naturalist for the Oregon Natural Resources Council (ONRC), leading natural history trips throughout Oregon and northern California, and also authoring a "Walking Guide to Oregon Ancient Forests". Wendell also currently leads outdoor trips in the Redwood Region and Klamath/Siskiyous for the Siskiyou Field Institute. |
